Mother's Day

Takes place annually on the second Sunday of May, a day of celebration and appreciation for mother figures and mothers when cards, flowers and dining out are the norm, after all mom should not cook on this day.

Many restaurants choose to design a special menu while others stay with the regular menu to offer the usually available choices. This year there are many special Mother’s Day Menu offerings in the Hudson Valley and the choice is once again up to you

La Panetiere in Rye,  starts you off with some great appetizers, then seared sea scallops or medallions of veal tenderloin and finishes with home made dessert choices for $72 per person and $110 with wine pairing. Tombolino Ristorante in Yonkers, offers a five course flexible dinner where depending upon your main course choice, the price varies from $29 for eggplant parmigiana to $$49 for veal chop capricciosa, all finished with Italian cheesecake or chocolate cake and includes coffee or tea. The children’s menu is $25. Frankie & Johnnie’s Steakhouse in Rye offer lobster bisque or a classic and choice of filet mignon, grilled salad or lobster ravioli, finished with key lime pie or ice cream for $50. Harvest-on-Hudson in Hastings is offering specialties like baked branzino or spicy ahi tuna guazzetto finished with a tasting dessert trio. Chef Vincent Barcelona really outdid himself. So far I see no price, give them a call. Equus at the Castle on the Hudson in Tarrytown is advertising a $79 per person for a four course meal but no details on the menu offerings. Again you should call them directly for reservations and further details.
